GoodBye 2010...

First of all i would like to say is that,

I LOVE THIS PIC!

Hihihihi...my hubby carrying his mom's handbag and shopping bags!

Such a great way to end 2010 right?

Why?

Well, my hubby is such mummy's boy.

And I think after this , i can seek help from him to carry my bags !!

Yippeee!!!

Anyway, back to our topic.

Let us go back in time , how 2010 was for me.

Deaths.

Alot of people whom I know dearly passed aways this year.

Friendships.

Hmmm..lost a few ,

but gained ALOT!

Office.

I am going to work on a regular basis , unlike in 2009.

Health.

Alhamdulillah , I am better than I was last year.

My Migraine is getting better.

Thanks to all the prayers from my parents, husband , family and friends.

All the support from my old and new friends!

but, unfortunately I have gained like 8kg!

Soul & Mind.

My soul is calmer now.

More focused!

Children.

I am so happy to have met my friends' child[ren].

And i definitely learned alot from just observing them.

Transportation.

New! WUQ 7810

Mother-in-Law.

Our relationship is getting better.

it is normal to have a few hiccups in the first few years.

I really pray that our relationship will be stronger as years goes by.

As my own mother told me " She is your mother too, please remember that"

Financially.

Still unstable like always.

ISHK!

So what are my new year's resolution?

They ask others to change their FB passwords.

They dumped the net over doing some chores at home and shooting hoops and -yada yada yada.

They found it awkward to actually talk to friends on the phone since they are so used to texting all this while.

"It's emotion, not just little lines."

So what was life like in 1995?

El Zein had more exercise!

Parents liked the idea of their kids actually calling them!

Pauh Kentang Spring.

Sabtu lepas, Siz , Ali and Mak [MIL] ke Taiping untuk ke kenduri kahwin Huzerry [ roomate Ali @ MMU]

Lepas tuh..kami terus ke Pematang Pauh,

rumah Mak Tok [ Nenek Ali ].

Pematang Pauh is where Ali was born.

Rumah Mak Tok kat belakang area Char Kuey Teow yang famous kat situ.

So sebelum nak masuk ke rumah Mak Tok,

kami kena la lalu kedai CKT tuh.

Then Mak cakap " Kat sini ada kentang spring!"

So apa lagi, kami pon try.

CKT dah biasa makan

[ memang mesti cuba kalau dah kat pematang pauh]

So kami makan Pauh Kentang Spring!

Mula-mula sebiji kentang yang dibersihkan akan di cucuk dengan besi khas.

Kemudian kentang yang telah dicucuk akan dimasukkan ke dalam mesin nih.

Tuan kedai kena la buat mcm nih untuk memotong kentang tersebut.

Hah, lepas tuh , dengan perlahan-lahan, Tuan kedai akan menarik kentang tersebut.

Dan celur dalam adunan istimewa sebelum digoreng.

Lepas tuh sos,mayonais,garam dan sebagainyer akan di letakkan di atas kentang spring tersebut.

Tada! Pauh Kentang Spring!

Kentang tuh bersambung-sambung tau.

Ala , mcm spring gitu!

Lokasi? Jalan Pematang Pauh , Pulau Pinang.

Area dekat D-Lima.

Masam2 Manis ya!

But the bottle was kinda small.

One was not enough for me. huhuhuhuh.

Soursop with Soda

My dish was, Noodle with BBQ Chicken!

Very delicious in deed!

Ali had Ice Age.

Blueberry Milkshake with soda!

Slurp!

Spicy Trio was so spicy in deed!

Hubby loved it to the last noodle.....

My MIL [ Mother in Law] had the Special Teh Tarik.

Her dish? Noodle in Homestyle sauce.
Not spicy.
Just nice for her.

These were what we had before we headed for Pauh Kentang Spring!

Today's Email : 27/12/2010 : English Language.

Lovers of the English language might enjoy this. It is yet another example of why people learning English have trouble with the language. Learning the nuances of English makes it a difficult language. (But then, that's probably true of many languages.)

There is a two-letter word in English that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is 'UP.' It is listed in the dictionary as being used as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?
At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends and we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car.
At other times the little word has a real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.

To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.

And this up is confusing:
A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped   UP.

We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.   We seem to be pretty mixed UPabout UP!

To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes   UP almost 1/4 of the page and can add  UP to about thirty definitions

If you are UP  to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more.

When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP. When it rains, it wets UP the earth. When it does not rain for awhile, things dry UP.

One could go on & on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now ........my time is UP, so time to shut UP!
