A trip to Dewan Bahasa And Pustaka

Last Thursday , I went to Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka [DBP] with my workmates.

We learned a lot!

And also , we got to touch and see historical artifacts!

It is a manuscript about Malay Tradisional Medicine.

We had to be extra careful when turning the pages as it is so old!

But one can get in in a new paperback form rm70.

It contains methods for preparing medicine for various illnesses.

This is the famous Sulalatus Salatin[ Malay Annals ]

It was written by Tun Sri Lanang.

The book chronicles the history of the Malay Sultanate in the 15th to the early 16th century. It covers the establishment of the Malacca Sultanate, her relationship with neighbouring kingdoms including China, as well as the administrative practices during that period. 

This is also a manuscript.

It was written on bamboos.

There are lots more.
