Jinggo .... Y?

Well, Jinggo was found on my neighbor's roof ,

AGAIN!

I was so embarrassed to ring my neighbour's doorbell last Saturday.

Even Kitty was really angry with Jinggo.

Kitty came over to the neighbour's gate while I still had Jinggo in my arms.

I was talking to the neighbours and Kitty was busy scolding her brother for being so naughty.

This is a scene because seldom would I hear Kitty make any noise other then eeekkk!

Once in a blue moon would she MEOW at me.

As the two of them , Kitty and Jinggo

 'walked' back to our house,

Kitty was busy lecturing Jinggo.

My, my ...

I laughed all the way because Jinggo walked back with his head faced down.

It looked as if he was receiving a good LECTURE from Kitty!

The pictures below were taken during yesterday's Sunday Rain!

As you can see, Jinggo is such a curious kitten.

He is most of the time up to mischievous.

Hmmmm...I have the feeling that ,

each time he goes missing

he will be on the same rooftop!

"Mummy, is that you?"

"What is Daddy doing?"

"Er is that Kitty?!"

"Hey ! This is unfair. I want to get in!"

Today's Email [ 28012011] - 'Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me'

Dear ladies,

Here are something I got from a book titled
'Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me'.

Maybe you'll find - if not all - at least some of these tips useful.

A few things I wish I'd known long ago....

1. I wish I'd known how wonderful it was to be twenty, thirty, forty...

2. You can't please all the people all of the time.

3. Don't be too afraid of making an enemy - sometimes courage and honesty require it.

4. Never take offence - only small people take offence.

5. If it doesn't fit in the shop, it's not going to fit when you get home.

6. The things you worry about about are almost never the things that happen.

7. Never have anything to do with men who carry little purses.

8. It's better to clean and tidy less and read more.

9. Never go out with a man who doesn't make you laugh.

10. You can't change most people.
Don't expect them to give what they unable to give.

11. Don't do anything grudgingly.
If you're going to do it, however much you hate it, you might as well do it well.

12. It's never worth saving things for best.
Use the things you love everyday.

13. It's always worth reading - and learning - poetry.

14. A great haircut is worth any number of new dresses.

15. Never buy anything because 'It's bound to be useful'.

16. Never buy anything that you don't love or that isn't absolutely right.

With love,
A

Instagramed Kitty.

Another Royal Treatment for my Kitty.

Kitty has not been eating well lately.

So I decided to buy an 'expensive' meal for her.

But she ate only a few pallets.

So , while she was on her 'bed'

I placed her bowl in the bed.

TADAAA she ate happily.

Haiyo!

These pictures were taken after her meal and her short nap.

As I was watching TIRAMISU , Kitty came over and wanted to jump on the bed next to me

I guessed I had to reward her for her behaviour,

I gave her a 30-minute-nap snuggled next to me.

Ops! I really hope that hubby Ali is not reading this.

My leg had to stay still for 30 minutes!

Lucky me - I was holding the tv remote control.

I am Broke!

Yes, I am announcing this to the world.

I am broke
[but not bankrupt , please identify the differences!]

So I opt to eat healthy.
Hahahaha..

Yes the picture above is a container of oats.

I am trying my best to diet here.

Please smile and say "You must be joking"

so that I can say " No I am not!"

Okie..first was the jogging shoes [ and jogging] ,

and now oats.

Next would be plain water, then take some vitamins.

I need to be slightly slimmer ,
so that I would not look sooo pregnant when obviously I am NOT!

Apart from that , I feel that I am extra tired hence the laziness just swoops right in.

I would get so weak at 4pm.

And when I get home , I can hardly lift my head.

The thing I hate the most is that even though I am so tired,

I still cannot sleep well.

I am trying my best not to take the Xanax nowadays.

Do not want to be too dependant on it.

No doubt , when I am tired I will feel so guilty for not being able to tend to important matters.

And it will end up with me having this huge rock in my head.

Migraine!

Reminds me of Iesha and Jinggo.

These two are like Iesha and Jinggo last year.

“Stupidity is better kept a secret than displayed”

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

Just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are even stupider!

Stupidity is the deliberate cultivation of ignorance

and my favourite:-

The wise understand by themselves; fools follow the reports of others

[Blogging under the influence of Willow Smith]

I have had a few conversations with a few of my close friends.
[ different time and venues that is ]
and I have gathered opinions on some  matters that have been bugging me like hell.

1st is stupidity.

You see , there are a few people in my life who can't seem to wise up and shut up.
They tend to blabber on and on about things that are petty and not important.
They will end up looking stupid.
When one speaks to much , their stupidity reveals quite a sum!
So I guess , you really have to choose your words
 and also
you definitely have to think before you speak.

2nd is EGO.
Men are more egoistic than women?
Hmmmm hahahahahah!
No la, to me both genders weigh equally on this.
Many women are working now.
Some are given good posts and some are even bosses.
You might be the boss at your office, but at home you are a wife and a mother.
Do not get carried away.
It will ruin your marriage. Seriously.
Ego gets you nowhere.
You will just end up being bitter and angry for no reason.
Why waste the energy on something that is not fruitful?

3rd is repressed desire for glamour and fame.

Some of those who are 'attached' to a social network are actually turning the arena into a SCHOOL PLAYGROUND.
Most of those who were a nobody , tend to show off in social networks.
They love to critisize others.
Outdo one another.
Just like schooldays.
As one of my friend told me :-
" They could not rule the school , so now they want to take a stand in the social network"
I could not careless if they just mind their own business.
But some of them actually went overboard by ditching me in real life!

What the?

4th is Family Values

Hmmm, this is a very sensitive issue.
Different families have different family culture and values.
I have the opportunity to observe a few weird ones.
Like , parents and kids swearing in public.
GULP!
All I can say is that , we must learn from others' mistakes.

5th is DEPRESSION

You see. I was dignosed as a depressed woman two years ago.
Many made fun of my weakness.
Many ran away, scared that they might get this disease from me.
Yada yada yada.
But then, I suddenly realise that,
those people who mocked me are now depressed too!
Erk!
BUT , I think they do not want to admit that they are.
Or they are in self denial.
Ishk!
Please seek help from the professionals.
Spriritually and Mentally.
No point in denying the fact that you are sad.
It is not a bad thing.
REALLY.
It is a very competitive world out there.
Our lifestyle differs from our parents.
And our kids' lifestyle will differ from ours.

Okie..I can go on and on about many of the things that I have discussed.
Maybe I will continue in the entries to come.

Have a great day ahead!

Of Macarons & Meringues

macaron (/mɑːˈkæ rɵŋ/ mah--rhon) : French

The first time I ate macarons was years and years ago.
I was young.
But I can still remember how facinated I was with the colour!

Than during my college days, I read A Doll's House macaroons was mentioned .

Then I tasted Meringue in London.

Well, my sister bought it in Paris and brought it to London for me.

It was plain white/off white.

Not interesting.

Hihihihihihi.

Yesterday, I read this article in Mingguan Wanita.

It is about Datin Nina, the owner of WHISK - Empire Mall.

Then I googled for Macaron recipes.
Just to know how it is made.

Ingredients

175g icing sugar

125g ground almonds

3 large free-range egg whites

75g caster sugar

For the filling

150g butter, softened

75g icing sugar

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 160°C/fan140°C/gas 3.
Whizz the icing sugar and ground almonds in a food processor to a very fine mixture, then sift into a bowl.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt to soft peaks, then gradually whisk in the caster sugar until thick and glossy.
(At this point you can stir in flavour extract, such as peppermint or lemon, and corresponding colouring such as blue or yellow, to your meringue mixture, depending on what kind of macaroons you want – see chef's tip. Or divide the meringue among different bowls if you want to make more than one colour.)

3. Fold half the almond and icing sugar mixture into the meringue and mix well.
Add the remaining half, making sure you use a spatula to cut and fold the mixture until it is shiny and has a thick, ribbon-like consistency as it falls from the spatula.
Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a 1cm plain nozzle.

4. Line 2 baking sheets with baking paper.
Pipe small rounds of the macaroon mixture, about 3cm across, onto the baking sheets.
Give the baking sheets a sharp tap on the work surface to ensure a good ‘foot’.
Leave to stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to form a slight skin.
This is important – you should be able to touch them lightly without any mixture sticking to your finger. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool.

5. Meanwhile, make the filling/s (unless making chocolate macaroons – see chef's tip).
In a bowl, beat the butter until light and fluffy, then beat in the icing sugar.
(You can now add flavouring or nuts, and colour – see chef's tip.)
Use to sandwich pairs of macaroons together.

Nutritional info

Per macaron:
160kcals,
9.7g fat (4.2g saturated),
1.8g protein,
17.5g carbs,
16.4g sugar,
0.2g salt

Chef's tip

Macarons taste wonderful plain, but why not add flavouring and colouring?
Flavour extracts – such as raspberry, lemon and peppermint – and colourings are available in supermarkets and cake shops.
Try squires-shop.com to buy online.
To flavour and colour your macaroons, in step 2, add around ½ tsp flavour extract, then add the appropriate colouring, a drop at a time, until you reach the desired intensity. Flavour and colour the buttercream in the same way.
For chocolate macarons, replace a quarter of the icing sugar with cocoa powder and use Nutella as the filling.
For pistachio macarons, replace half the ground almonds with ground pistachios (whizz in a blender or finely chop by hand), and use green food colouring to achieve a pastel green. Fold chopped pistachios through the filling, if you like.

Errr...I think I  will stick to Truffles and Pralines for this month and next.

Jogging is Me?

Mondays & Wednesdays are Jogging With Daddy Day [JWDD]

FitFlop. Get a workout while you walk™

Saw this in Cleo February 2011 issue.

I like the idea of Get a workout while you walk™

But the price?.

Not so.
[RM200++]

But if one is so lazy to jog.

Then , this might be away for you to just walk!

My 2011 planners.

Tada! Cute?

Hihihi..well this is what i do to motivate myself to work and also to keep track on my expenses.

Seriously it works!

I always have a Planner for my daily routines / chores / to do list .

But this year , I bought a smaller planner to keep track on all the things that I have bought.

Ops! below is a notebook for me to write the things I need to buy.

Groceries, Kids' food, Books

Hihihihihi

Young Willow Smith - Will Smith's 11 year old daughter.

Picture: Google

Fly FM played this song a few evenings while I was on my way back home from work.

I had no idea who the singer was, and the song was pretty catchy.

This morning, I was listening to Hitz FM.

And atlast, thanks to Hitz FM iPhone App.

I read this on my iPhone:-  Willow Smith - Whip My Hair.

Googled and found a few interesting facts about her.

[ She really sings like a young Rihanna!]

1. Winner for  Best Performance in a Feature Film (Young Ensemble Cast)
Kit Kittredge: An American Girl

2. Wikipedia.

3. Official Website.

Check out her interview with Ryan Seacrest.

P/S : I think this songs suits well with my new jogging shoes! - Hahahahaha

2011 workload!

See any familiar book(s)?

Well these are some of the books I have at the workstation.

This year I have to write 4 content scripts and 2 will proceed to the storyboard phase.

This is the part where it would take quite some time because I need to do a lot of research.

Hep! I am NOT a WALKING DICTIONARY
nor I am
a WALKING GRAMMAR BOOK!

Not only do I have to check whether my facts are right,
I later have to figure out how to present it in a very inter-active way.

Ishk! I wonder when I can proceed to do my Masters.
Thinking of Instructional Design.

Okie! Back to work!

My Tuesday MC day!

I was at the clinic this morning.
Last night was so awful.
My chest was in pain and so was my whole body.

Trust me when I say that ,
you do not want to be so sickly like me.
I have weird ones.

Anyway,
I went 2 the grocery shop next to the clinic 2 buy my kids' food.
Hihihihi.
The owner opened a container filled with cats' biscuits.
And look at who came a long to have some.
So cute right?
He is eating next to a container filled with his food!
So it was Instagram time for me right away.

Above is a pic of my balcony view.
I love my view so much!
Oh ya ,
The house on the left.
That was the house where Jinggo was stuck for 2 days.
On the porch roof!
Naughty boy.

Nite-nite all, time for me to sleep.
I will be at work tomorrow!
